Description
Take off on a multimedia tour of the environment!
Earth Explorer gives families the most comprehensive and up-to-date
information about our planet in a fun, easy-to-use format.
Continuing the Apple tradition of making education enjoyable, Earth Explorer
provides a fascinating interactive experience. With this CD-ROM, children
will learn about the natural and human forces affecting Earth through a variety
of informational and exploratory activities: lively articles illustrated with
graphics and movies, simulations based on actual environmental data, animations
that explain basic environmental concepts, and games that will both
challenge and amuse.
One of Earth Explorer's most valuable features is its interactive design.
Children can easily move from topic to topic as they please. They can change
the assumptions in environmental data and view the results, such as how
various life expectancies would affect a country's population growth. They can
compare data of their choice, such as energy use in different countries. With
Earth Explorer, your children learn in the way they most enjoy.
Earth Explorer was designed for users ten years of age and older by
Enteractive, Inc., an award-winning multimedia developer. It was developed in
cooperation with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS)
and with support by the National Science Foundation (NSF). Earth Explorer
offers both objective data and a wide variety of viewpoints on controversial
issues, so it helps children develop critical-thinking skills as they learn
about the world around them.
Earth Explorer: It's the adventure guide to our environment that your children
will come back to again and again.
